Avid fans of “The Elder Scrolls Online” certainly have their eyes set on the upcoming chapter of the game. It is an exciting update for several reasons, including the fact that it will take players back to Skyrim. More importantly, the chapter, titled “Greymoor,” is arriving with new gameplay features, including a new PvE trial.
‘The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor’: What new content to expect in the upcoming chapter
The end to the “The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr” lore have already been revealed, and it was probably not something that fans have expected. It involves the demise of one very important character in the franchise, but some fans are not sold that he has really died. Moving forward, fans will have plenty of new things to look forward to in “Greymoor,” especially in the combat aspect.
A new trial called Kyne’s Aegis is one of the highlights of new features to be released in “The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor.” It is a 12-player PvE challenge, and the premise is to save the residents of a village in Kyne’s Aegis island following the invasion of the Sea Giants. Those are the only details revealed about the new trial at the moment. Fans will have to wait for future announcements on its specific game levels, including how many boss fights will this trial entail.
Zombies and vampires are also one of the major themes of “The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor.” Harrowstorms is the name of the upcoming world events in the next chapter, where the new zone Western Skyrim is being hounded by supernatural harrowstorms. Anyone caught in the catastrophe does not die, but will turn into undead monsters. The challenge is to find a way to stop the harrowstorms.
‘The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor’ release date, pre-purchase editions
“The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor” is slated to go live on all platforms within the first of the year. Players should then expect for more gameplay details to be revealed in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Bethesda Softworks has laid out five pre-purchase editions that have ample options for both new and long-time players priced between $39.99 to $130. The game published has also stated that “The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor” will be released first on PC/Mac on May 18 while console players are getting the next chapter on June 2.
