“The Promised Neverland” is one of the newest anime series that have gotten the attention of many fans. So it is not surprising that it will be having its English-dubbed release shortly after all the Japanese episodes have aired.
Adult Swim’s Toonami just recently revealed the English-dubbed trailer of “The Promised Neverland.” It allows fans to get an idea on what the anime would sound like in the English-language version. The teaser also offers quite an extensive look to the whole concept of the anime’s plot.
“The Promised Neverland” will premiere on Toonami’s line up for Saturday, April 13. It will be on air at midnight in Eastern Time following episodes of “Dragon Ball Super” at 11 p.m. and “My Hero Academia” at 11:30 p.m. Whether or not a new episode will air on Toonami in the following weeks is yet to be confirmed.
Interestingly, Toonami shared some remarks about its April 13 line up that includes “The Promised Neverland.” In an official Facebook post, the TV programming block commented, “So we heard from some people that we WEREN’T actually building you a better cartoon show like we had said, so we’re re-shuffling the line-up for 4/13 again. Hope we did a better job this time, cause we aren’t changing it again. Until we do.”

Many Toonami viewers might still not have an idea what “The Promised Neverland” is about. On a good note, as ComicBook pointed out, the trailer will give fans the feel of a horror film, and it should. Just like most scary movies, expect everything to start very pleasant and even seemingly perfect at one point.
“The Promised Neverland” revolves around an orphanage house operated by Isabella, whom the 38 children refer to as Mother. As shown in the trailer, the orphanage looks perfect and offers the children plenty of room to play and learn. However, “being adopted” means completely different in this anime series.
Another indication that the first season of “The Promised Neverland” did very well is the fact that season 2 has been confirmed just days after the finale. The second installment, however, will not air until 2020. Meanwhile, fans can also stream the English-subbed episodes through various platforms such as Crunchyroll and Hulu.
