“This Is Us” season 3 episode 7 will continue to bring viewers back to the beginnings of Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) relationship. As they embark on their first trip together, Rebecca witnesses Jack being haunted by nightmares probably caused by his experiences in Vietnam.
The official synopsis for “This Is Us” season 3 episode 7 suggests that the scenes from the past and the present time will all be linked to Jack’s Vietnam war tour. A teaser also reveals that Jack and Rebecca are off to Los Angeles. CarterMatt suggests that they are traveling as Rebecca hopes to start her career as a singer.
Meanwhile, the episode preview shows Rebecca becomes even more in love with Jack during the trip despite her mother’s disapproval. Rebecca tells a friend, “We’ve been traveling for a few days and I wanna be wherever he is.” However, “This Is Us” season 3 episode 7 will not be all fun and lovely for them.
Rebecca further learns about the things that haunt Jack. Rebecca wakes up with Jack having a terrible-looking nightmare in “This Is Us” season 3 episode 7. Since this is happening after Jack’s tour of duty in Vietnam, it could be one of the manifestations of post-traumatic stress, which he will most likely refuse to discuss with Rebecca.
On the other hand, Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Zoe (Melanie Liburd) arrive in Vietnam in “This Is Us” season 3 episode 7. Their trip will most likely provide a smooth transition between the past and present events linked to Jack and Nick’s (Michael Angarano) time in Vietnam.
Kevin’s motivation to look for answers in “This Is Us” season 3 episode 7 is somehow fueled by the fact that a mystery woman in Vietnam is the source of the necklace Jack gave him. When asked when this character will be further introduced, co-showrunner Isaac Aptaker told Glamour, “We’re sort of…at the end of the episode, as you see, we’re sort of fully launched into this story, so we’re going to pick right back up with Zoe and Kevin going to Vietnam in our next episode.”
“This Is Us” season 3 episode 7 will air after the series's two-week hiatus. The new episode will be available on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
