ANCHORAGE, Alaska, March 19, 2017 -- Military services member, veterans, and their families can receive necessary chiropractic care and have it covered through the ChiroHealthUSA network. Active service members in the TriWest network can use the Chiropractic Health Care Program. Veterans may qualify for the Veterans Choice Program. Individuals may need to collect necessary documentation and be screened to determine eligibility. The chiropractors and staff at True Life Chiropractic look forward to serving the needs of military service members and veterans under these two important programs.
Many health insurances do not cover all necessary treatments and new providers working with ChiroHealthUSA offer special programs for military service people and their families. The Chiropractic Health Care Program through TriWest is a special program available to cover the chiropractic services of active duty service members and activated Guard/Reserve members. Chiropractic care at designated military hospitals and clinics will be covered for military service members.
The process involves having a primary care manager (PCM) refer an individual to a chiropractor and the PCM will decide on the frequency and length of treatment. All military service members must be screened prior to receiving any chiropractic treatment.
Veterans can turn to the Veterans Choice Program (VCP) through the TriWest Healthcare Alliance. The program was instituted to reduce wait times for veterans and provide necessary health care services in an area close to the individual. Veterans who are eligible will have TriWest pay claims for all authorized services.
“Military service members and veterans who put themselves in the way of harm for our great country need access to affordable and high-quality chiropractic care,” said Dr. Michael Michaud. “The Chiropractic Health Care Program and Veterans Choice Program are available to better assist the needs of those who have served and continue to serve us. Patients do not need to forego needed care with programs that make it easier and more affordable for military personnel to receive chiropractic treatments. Investigate the programs and see if you qualify for covered chiropractic care at True Life Chiropractic.”
