U.S. President Donald Trump will visit the Department of Justice (DOJ) this Friday to outline his administration’s strategy for restoring law and order, Axios reported. His speech will focus on removing violent criminals and ending what he calls the “weaponization of justice” against Americans based on political beliefs, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
The visit follows Trump’s broad restructuring of federal agencies, particularly the DOJ, where he removed officials deemed disloyal. Trump has repeatedly criticized the department over his four indictments stemming from his first term.
In a key move, Trump appointed former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as attorney general and Kash Patel as FBI director, both known for their strong loyalty to him. Both officials are expected to be present for Friday’s address.
The DOJ speech comes as Trump seeks to consolidate power and reinforce his administration’s stance on crime and justice. His remarks will likely resonate with supporters who view his legal battles as politically motivated.
By focusing on law enforcement, Trump aims to bolster his tough-on-crime reputation while taking direct aim at what he sees as partisan misuse of the justice system. His visit to the DOJ is expected to attract significant media coverage and political debate.
