U.S. President Donald Trump's Turnberry golf resort in Scotland was defaced with pro-Palestinian graffiti, with activists from Palestine Action claiming responsibility.
Images from local media on Saturday revealed slogans like "Free Gaza" and "Free Palestine" painted across walls, while one green had "Gaza is not for sale" scrawled on it. Protesters also dug up holes on the course, targeting the Trump-owned property.
The activist group confirmed their involvement on social media, stating, "Whilst Trump attempts to treat Gaza as his property, he should know his own property is within reach."
The vandalism follows Trump's controversial remarks last month, where he suggested the U.S. should take control of Gaza, relocate its population, and turn it into the "Riviera of the Middle East," a statement that sparked global outrage.
Police Scotland confirmed an investigation is underway. "Around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, we received a report of damage to the golf course and a premises on Maidens Road, Turnberry," a spokesperson said.
In a separate incident on Saturday, a protester waving a Palestinian flag climbed the iconic Big Ben tower at London’s Palace of Westminster, drawing further attention to the escalating tensions surrounding the Gaza conflict.
Trump’s comments and the growing backlash highlight the intensifying global response to the Israel-Palestine crisis, with activists taking direct action against symbols of power.
