EMERYVILLE, Calif., Oct. 14, 2016 -- Today, TubeMogul (NASDAQ:TUBE), a leader in software for brand advertising, announced additions to the company’s engineering leadership team with the hires of Tim Cull and Alok Kothari. Cull has been appointed to the role of Vice President of Data Systems, while Kothari joins the company as Vice President of Optimization Engineering.

Cull brings over a decade of experience managing big data for both software companies and brands. Prior to TubeMogul, Cull was VP of Engineering at e-commerce company Touch of Modern. Before that, Cull served as Vice President, Application Architect at BlackRock.
Kothari joins TubeMogul from Gamut, part of Cox Media Group, where he served as Vice President of Analytics, Engineering. Prior to that, Kothari held senior engineering positions at Hearst, Critical Path and Morgan Stanley.
As VP of Optimization Engineering, Kothari will work directly with TubeMogul’s machine learning team to develop and implement advanced optimization capabilities for advertisers. New algorithms added to TubeMogul’s software in the past month include viewability optimization based on the preferred third-party reporting metrics of the user’s choice as well as the ability to generate push-button custom look-alike audience segments based on a marketer’s first-party data.
Both Cull and Kothari will report directly to TubeMogul’s Senior Vice President of Engineering Soren Abildgaard.
