Results of Super Tuesday is almost out and it seems Mr. Donald Trump and Mrs. Hilary Clinton will be partying tonight. Both of them edged closer to become their party's nominee for the top job contest. However the race is yet not over. Election for primaries, through which Republicans and Democrats select their candidates are taking place and so far only 15 state elections have taken place and 35 still remaining. So quite a fight still left. Nevertheless Super Tuesday was vital as 12 states' delegates were up for grab.
- Mr. Trump came in the first place in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia.
- Senator Ted Cruz has secured first place in Oklahoma and Texas.
- Marc Rubio has won in Minnesota.
- Mr. Cruz and Trump going head to head in Alaska.
However, not gaining the first place doesn't mean end of race. Delegates get distributed by percentage of votes.
So far in the race, Mr. Trump is leading with 285 delegates, followed by Ted Cruz with 160, Marc Rubio with 87, Kasich with 25 and Ben Carson with 8.
From the democrat side,
- Mrs. Clinton has secured first place Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
- Bernie Sanders have won Oklahoma, Vermont and Colorado.
