The iconic Undefeated Air Jordan 4 is set for a Summer 2025 release, while the 'Desert Camo' WNBA x Air Jordan 3 debuts as the 2024 WNBA season begins.
Iconic Undefeated Air Jordan 4 Set for Summer 2025 Re-release, Reviving Historic Sneaker Collaboration
As Sneakers News reported, the Undefeated Air Jordan 4, widely considered the most significant sneaker collaboration in history, is scheduled to return next year. This release initially launched in 2005 in a super-limited edition of 72 pairs, represents a pivotal moment in the history of sneaker design. It's a privilege to be part of this elite group, as it is the first-ever collaboration between Jordan Brand and another brand.
Jordan Brand has restricted access to a select few, primarily avoiding creative partnerships, even though Jordan Retro collaborations have become a regular staple over the last half-decade. Undefeated was the sole boutique collaboration for an extended period until SoleFly, which Michael Jordan's brother-in-law owned, entered the picture in the subsequent decade.
Undefeated has evolved into a thriving brand beyond a mere specialty boutique. It has established retail locations in its hometown of Los Angeles and throughout the West Coast, Asia, and, most recently, New York City. Undefeated produces its apparel each season.
Based on the information provided by @eldenmonitors/House Of Heat and verified by @zsneakerheadz, the Air Jordan 4 by Undefeated is eagerly anticipated to arrive next year. The official color specifications are Deep Green/Clementine/Black/Sail. This implies that the identical version from the 2005 release is anticipated, although it is uncertain whether any modifications will be implemented. The excitement for this re-release is palpable.
The Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 from 2005 may appear unremarkable compared to the intricate designs on June 28, but as previously mentioned, its significance is unparalleled.
WNBA Season Kicks Off with Exclusive 'Desert Camo' Air Jordan 3 Release
The commencement of the 2024 WNBA Season on June 25, coincides with the league's release of a new Air Jordan 3 colorway.
Recently leaked images from Sneaker News and global retailer JD Sports (via Complex) reveal an imminent desert camo-covered Air Jordan 3 featuring the WNBA logo. This latest edition of Michael Jordan's third signature shoe departs from its traditional leather exterior, opting for a canvas construction instead. The shoe showcases a desert camo pattern instead of the customary elephant print at the forefoot and heel counter. A standout feature is the translucent outsole in the league's signature orange hue, with the WNBA logo stamped on the insoles.
Jordan Brand has previously released sneakers inspired by the WNBA, such as the "Center Star" Air Jordan 38 and the "Brilliant Orange" Air Jordan 12. However, this marks the first time the league's logo will appear on a Jordan shoe.
No release details are available for the WNBA x Air Jordan 3 collaboration, but official updates are expected soon.
