This week is going to be eventful for "Valorant" players. Patch 1.15 is going live with buffs and nerfs for Brimstone and Omen. The update will also deliver Episode 2 Act 1 that will add a new stealth-focused agent named Yoru.
'Valorant' patch 1.15: Changes to expect and when they are going live
Details about the "Valorant" patch 1.15 leaked a few days ahead of its official release after developer Riot Games invited influencers to try out the gameplay changes. Aside from the upcoming agent's ability kit, the trials revealed some expected nerfs and buffs are going live this week.
The most interesting updates have been compiled by the YouTube channel GameLeap Valorant Pro Guides and confirmed that Brimstone would receive significant power boosts. His basic ability Incendiary will be priced lower from 300 in-game dollars to just 200 once the update goes live.
Brimstone's smoke range will also expand from 4,200 to 5,000, while his smoke duration will significantly increase from 14.25 seconds to 19.25 seconds. A smaller update for the agent will make the Stim Beacon instantly deploy once "Valorant" players tap on the ability.
"Valorant" patch 1.15 is going to be a different story for Omen, though. A couple of abilities of the shadow hunter is getting nerfed. Omen's Paranoia ability's cost will increase by 100% from 200 dollars to 400 dollars. His smoke speed will also decrease by 30% from 4,000 to 2,800. These changes might not sit well with many players considering Omen has had the highest pick rate than other agents over the last several months. But this is reportedly the same reason why the character is getting nerfed.
'Valorant' patch 1.15 release date
The classic pistol is also expected to get nerfed once the "Valorant" patch 1.15 arrives. As the same YouTube video demonstrates, subsequent pistol shots will spread wider following the update. Meanwhile, the most expected set of content is part of Episode 2 Act 1, which will introduce a new agent named Yoru.
More details about Yoru and Episode 2 Act 1 will be presented by Riot Games developers through a Twitch stream on Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. PST. It will be followed by the release of the "Valorant" patch 1.15 on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
