WESTBOROUGH, Mass., July 10, 2017 -- Veruna, the Boston-based insurtech developer of the Salesforce-based agency management platform, has announced the addition of Marcia Berner as Program Manager and Nancy Stasyshyn as Director of Training. With a rapidly growing client roster, Berner and Stasyshyn join a talented insurance technology team.
Marcia Berner comes to Veruna with over 30 years of experience in insurance agency and carrier automation. She has performed training, customer support and facilitated installations for Insurnet, and later managed staff performing those activities for a large regional office. Next, Marcia migrated to Software Development for Vertafore (formerly AMS) Sagitta, managed the Sagitta Data Conversion Department, and subsequently became responsible for Agency/Carrier Integration working with ACORD AL3 implementations. This led to a specialized role at AgencyPort Software, where Marcia became the ACORD Property & Casualty Standards SME for all matters ‘ACORD’. Most recently Marcia worked directly for ACORD overseeing the development and release of all Property & Casualty Standards.
Nancy Stasyshyn is a passionate insurance learning leader with 35 years in the property and casualty insurance industry. She has held leadership positions in Claims, Human Resources, Underwriting Operations and was recently AVP of Insurance Learning Services with the Selective Insurance Company of America. She led a team of professionals in instructional design and development of technical and systems training programs for claims and underwriting employees, agency producers and account managers. Nancy was recognized for the design and launch of extremely successful New Producer and Account Manager Schools for agents and Underwriting and Safety Management Trainee programs.
“I can’t express how excited I am to bring in these high-caliber professionals,” said Jonathan Lincoln, Veruna’s President. “Marcia brings tremendous insurance expertise to our firm and has unrivalled knowledge of ACORD. Nancy is uniquely qualified with her experience training independent agencies to help them reach new heights.”
Today's announcement comes on the heels of the firm being recognized among the Top 20 Promising Technology Solution Providers of 2017 by CIOReview Magazine.
