‘Westworld’ Season 3 Release Date, Spoilers: 5 Clues From the Trailer Show ‘Real World’ Is Way Far in the Future

Fans have had a glimpse of what the world looks like in the first two seasons of “Westworld.” However, it is very refreshing to see the first-ever “Westworld” season 3 trailer solely revolve around the “real world.”

It is also not surprising that the real world is not a happy one, just listen to Aaron Paul’s melancholic lines in the trailer. On the other hand, the “Westworld” season 3 trailer gives fans a glimpse at how extremely futuristic the real world is.

Self-driving Motorbikes

This one is a little less surprising given that cars with an autopilot system are now a thing for real, thanks to Tesla. However, seeing anything that drives itself in movies and TV shows, just like in “Westworld” season 3, is still an effective reminder that the story is set in timeline more advanced than where the viewers are.

Robots

These made-of-metal friends are not new in the “Westworld” saga. But seeing that one of them is apparently Paul’s workmate could mean that robots are so typically available in the real world that will be explored in “Westworld” season 3.

Super High-Tech Nursing Home/Hospital

At one point in the “Westworld” season 3 trailer, Paul visits a woman in what looks like either a nursing home or a hospital room. Either way, the interior is completed with several techy-looking display controls above the bed.

Technology and Fashion Collide

As Paul’s character continues his somber monologue in the background, the “Westworld” season 3 trailer shows a woman arriving at an evening party. But the “real world” is so advanced that people do not have to go home from work before going to the party venue because dresses can also change on its own from being work-appropriate to a nice evening dress.

Criminality is High-Tech, Too

One of the interesting details in “Westworld” season 3 is the mobile app Paul is checking out before he is seen robbing a bank with his associates played by Lena Waithe and former NFL player Marshawn Lynch. At first glance, it looks like a Spotify counterpart, but pause on it and take a good look to see its actually an app where people can “order” a criminal activity for a certain price.

The most important detail in the trailer happens at the end when Paul encounters Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores. But the kind of relationship they will have is still under wraps. HBO will release “Westworld” season 3 in 2020.
