For a second year in a row, Whipsaw CEO Dan Harden was invited to host the Coolest Product Showcase as part of the annual ACG celebration. Dan and Nicki Boyd, CEO of Whipsaw client Versame, presented Starling, the first-ever wearable for infants and toddlers. Starling boosts brain development in young children by tracking and encouraging verbal engagement with those around them. Dan then presented and unveiled for the first time the Whipsaw-designed Google OnHub in a limited edition bamboo shroud. OnHub is the stylish cylindrical home hub wireless router introduced by Google last Fall.
Proceeds of the accompanying Cool Products Raffle exceeded $5,000 and benefited the Ravenswood Makerspace Collaborative, an initiative that provides funding for youth technology programs.
"It is our good fortune to have internationally acclaimed design firm Whipsaw as an integral part of the annual ACG Silicon Valley GROW! Awards. They consistently provide amazingly original and contemporary products from their design portfolio to our "Coolest Product" Showcase and Raffle. It has become one of the most popular parts of the celebration," said Sally Pera, CEO of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Silicon Valley.
"In today's hyper-competitive marketplace it takes more than superior performance, form, and features to succeed. You have to go beyond and create products with emotional pull, in other words "cool." It's fantastic that ACG and their audience of Silicon Valley leaders embrace this notion," adds Dan Harden, President / CEO and Principal Designer of Whipsaw.
