ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 02, 2017 -- Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ:WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced the introduction of RiskAgility EC Foundation, a new edition of its economic capital calculation, aggregation and allocation software for life insurers. With the introduction of this new edition, RiskAgility EC can be scaled to the requirements of any life insurer, large or small.
“We’re excited to provide a way for more life insurers to take their risk management capabilities to a higher level,” said Jack Gibson, global M&A lead, Willis Towers Watson M&A Risk Consulting. “The Foundation edition of our proven RiskAgility EC software brings advanced features such as capital projections, sensitivity and what-if analyses within reach of life insurers that do not require the enterprise features and scalability of the RiskAgility EC Enterprise edition.”
RiskAgility EC Foundation has a host of key features:
- Produces robust, up-to-date reports on economic capital at a group, business-unit, product and risk level, or at any granularity required
- Provides multiple risk metrics, including value-at-risk reporting, as well as produces the full distribution of possible balance sheets
- Includes built-in functionality to support immediate updating and stress/sensitivity analysis without the need to rerun underlying actuarial models
- Holistically models a company's risks and capital requirements, taking into account tax, fungibility and other considerations
“RiskAgility EC embodies our company’s extensive experience as a leading risk specialist for insurers, which can be scaled to the requirements of any life insurer,” said Gibson. “With this new edition, we have developed and refined our economic capital modeling methodology and capabilities to deliver an ease-of-use client solution.”
