“World of Warcraft Classic” is currently experiencing a massive spike of player log-in resulting in long queue time that is frustrating a lot of people. The influx was expected, and Blizzard said they are trying to solve the issue by launching hotfixes.
“With hotfixes that we are currently deploying to all [World of Warcraft] Classic realms, we are substantially increasing the number of players that can be simultaneously logged in and playing. We expect this to result in smaller queues for realms that have large queues, and some realms should no longer have queues at all,” wrote community manager Kaivax.
So far, the developers have delivered what they promised last year: an authentic “World of Warcraft Classic” experience that will take players back to the old days. That means clunky mechanics, grind fest, and graphics reminiscent to what the game look like in 2004. Longer queue time was also one of the aspects of the classic game, so add that to the checklist.
World of Warcraft Classic and novices wiping everything
Apart from longer queue time, “World of Warcraft Classic” players are also having problem with a lot of low-level people. That means that areas are being swarmed by novices that are killing everything in sight to complete their respective quests.
There were even multiple realms that saw players lining up politely to complete a low-level boss quest, an experience that’s being hailed as one of the best highlights of the “World of Warcraft Classic” so far. One of the things you have to remember in this game is you have to be polite since your reputation will precede. A group will not add a rude player into their party, and if that happens, you’re going to have a difficult time progressing. This is especially true if your name is plastered across the community board. So play nice.
World of Warcraft Classic can reunite you with your old mates
And speaking of party, if you’re someone who’s hoping to reunite with their old mates in “World of Warcraft Classic,” you’re in luck. Blizzard has launched a forum tool called “Classic Connections 2004-2006” that aims to do just that. As for the general opinion so far, those who are playing the classic version are having a blast inside the game. For most, a Classic is basically a time machine that is pulling them back to the days where everything was simple and straightforward.
