“World of Warcraft” players recently received an update that opened a new battleground called the Arathi Basin. Meanwhile, those participating in the fourth season of “Battle for Azeroth” should be reminded that certain raids set to Raid Finder difficulty will now have additional requirements before they can join in.
‘World of Warcraft: Classic’: Arathi Basin battleground opens with five resources as rewards
There is a reason the newly opened Arathi Basin is called a resource battleground. This can be found on the Arathi Highlands and offers a 15v15 gameplay with the main goal of dominating matches to collect resources.
“World of Warcraft” players need to be at least at level 20 to join the Arathi Basin battle. There are only two reputations that can be associated with the Arathi Basin battle: The Defilers from the Horde races and the League of Arathor from the Alliance.
The battle for Arathi Basin begins anew.

There are five resource bases in the Arathi Basin, namely Stables, Mines, Blacksmith, Lumber Mill, and Farm. Each team of 15 players will start at opposite sides of the map – either in Farm or Stables – per Wowhead’s guide.
Horde and Alliance will start at different points of the Arathi Basin map. This means participating “World of Warcraft” will be challenged to maintain coordination in order to accomplish the main goal of the battle.
From there, it would greatly increase a team’s chance of winning the battle if they become the first one to take control of three bases and maintain them until the battle until it is over. This means “World of Warcraft” players joining the Arathi Basin will have to be well-coordinated.
The main objective is to collect 2,000 resources, and the team that will be the first to achieve that wins the battle. The more bases controlled, the more resource points that a team can gather.
‘World of Warcraft’ update: Latest hotfix adds certain requirements on Raid Finder raids
Significant changes have also been applied in “World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth” through a hotfix released on Wednesday. For one, players wanting to join a Raid Finder Wing 4 in the Ny’alotha, the Walking City will not be required to own an Ashjra’kamas, Shroud of Resolve legendary cloak. The developers explained this was done to avoid players joining the raid only to be immediately mind-controlled and only cause problems to other players in the raid.
Some aspects of N’Zoth the Corruptor have also been balanced for better “World of Warcraft” experience. The radius of his Synaptic Shock has been increased from 8 yards to 15 yards while his Creeping Anguish’s total radius and expansion rate have been lessened for raids set on Raid Finder difficulty.
