This week is a good time to join PvP matches after Blizzard Entertainment announced the opening of a special brawl event. Fortunately, the developers have also addressed one annoying bug that may have affected some players while joining a PvP match.
‘World of Warcraft’ update: Feb. 19 hotfix addresses a PvP gameplay issue
Blizzard has issued a number of hotfixes this week. The latest release addresses a specific issue that “World of Warcraft” players have reported while using certain mounts in PvP matches.
Joining PvP games are one of the most rewarding aspects of “World of Warcraft,” especially to those wanting to earn as many rewards as possible. It appears, however, that there was a bug that prevented players to progress so they can collect the Season 4 mount and the Vicious Saddles. The good news is that the issue has been resolved in a hotfix released on Wednesday.
Another bug of almost the same nature was fixed on Tuesday. “World of Warcraft” players facing Lady Jaina Proudmoore and N’Zoth the Corruptor in Mythical difficulty were not able to collect mounts from defeating them because the enemies did not drop the said rewards. “Last week we made a change to increase the mount rewards from defeating these bosses from 1 to 2. However, the hotfix caused an issue that prevented any mounts from dropping,” Blizzard explained.
The Feb. 18 hotfix also carried a “World of Warcraft: Classic”-specific content. Players reported experiencing game performance issues that the developers identified to be linked to the Real Mob Health add-on. To get the fix, players are advised to uninstall the add-on’s current version.
‘World of Warcraft’ events: PvP Brawl in the Temple of Kotmogu is live
Blizzard has mapped out PvP Brawl events throughout 2020. While the theme has been set, the developers introduce new twists in the game mechanics to make the battlegrounds much more unpredictable and exciting.
The Temple of Hotmogu – a play in the words Kotmogu and the popular game hot potato – is currently live and will be available until Feb. 25. The twist in this event is that “World of Warcraft” players are allowed to pass the Orb of Power to their teammates but they will still gain debuffs. Additionally, the resurrection time has also been made faster by 5 seconds.
