More video game fans are finding the time or finding their way into playing “World of Warcraft” while they adhere to social distancing guidelines. Blizzard Entertainment apparently recognizes that and finds the perfect time to launch an XP and reputation buff for a longer period.
‘World of Warcraft’ bonuses
Earlier this month, Blizzard announced a couple more ways to entice players to visit “World of Warcraft” in the form of XP and reputations boosts for free. Luckily, the developer has now decided to extend both for a significant period giving more players a chance to enjoy the bonus.
Players do not have to do anything or enter any code; they just have to dive straight into the game and enjoy a 100 percent boost in every reputation they gain until Monday, May 18. This is a good time for avid fans to work on unlocking their target Allied Race, acquire a new Pet or mount, or gather new skills.
It should be noted, however, that the reputation buff is only available to “World of Warcraft” gamers who are playing the expansions “Legion” and “Battle for Azeroth.” The bonus, called Impressive Influence, also does not apply to Rajani and Uldum Accord reputation.
For those who are after gaining more XP points, developers have also launched the Winds of Wisdom bonus that provide 100% experience buff while playing through Azeroth. Any “World of Warcraft” players on “Battle for Azeroth” or using the Starter Edition or “Legion” expansion are eligible for the bonus.
This promo was supposed to only last for a short period, but Blizzard has decided to extend its validity until the release of the “Shadowlands” pre-patch. Its official launch date has yet to be announced, but reports expect it sometime in July.
‘World of Warcraft’ update: What’s on the latest hotfixes
Despite developers having to work under unique circumstances due to coronavirus, it is good news that they can still deliver timely hotfixes to make the “World of Warcraft” experience better. Just this week, Blizzard released small yet important updates for the vanilla and Classic versions of the game.
On Monday, Blizzard rolled out a hotfix that doubles the duration Mistweaver Monks’ heal-over-time effect. “World of Warcraft: Classic,” specifically in the Americas server, Blizzard has opted for the battleground events to start at a uniform time across all realms. The hotfix released on Tuesday also allows players to restore characters on locked realms as long as restoration features apply to them.
