Dr Chen's research interests lie in exploring the relationship between transport and territorial development on multiple spatial scales and associated planning issues such as inequality, polarisation, segregation etc., seeking possible strategies, solutions and policy implications by research and design. She has published widely in the field of transport geography, territorial transformation and strategic planning.
