Senior Lecturer, Philosophy, University of St Andrews I am bioethicist and philosopher working in the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews. I serve as a consultant to the World Health Organisation and I am the Chairperson of the International Society for Priorities in Health. Prior to St Andrews, I spent 15 years at the US National Institutes of Health where I conducted research and worked as an ethics consultant in the Clinical Center hospital.
