iOS 12 jailbreak Latest News, Update: Developer Successfully Bypass Apple’s Restrictions Allowing Users to Download Cydia

A fully-functioning iOS 12 jailbreak method has yet to make its way to the public as developers are still trying to bypass Apple’s tight security measures. The latest progress on this front came from developer GeoSn0w who provided the community with the means of acquiring the procedure.

However, the iOS 12 jailbreak process wasn’t able to download the Cydia app. But thanks to the tool provided by GeoSn0w, Reddit user Samg_is_a_Ninja managed to accomplished just that. The developer posted his demonstration on this thread.

As can be seen in the video, the developer even managed to incorporate Siri into the iOS 12 jailbreak method with the help of the unc0ver application. Unfortunately, the whole process is still on its testing phase, meaning that more improvements need to be done for it to fully benefit the masses.

What’s more, this latest progress will not be compatible with the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and the iPad Pro 2018 due to the A12 Bionic processors outfitted with the devices. The good news is that the community is still hard at work at trying to create a true iOS 12 jailbreak method. Last month, Ian Beer of Google’s Project Zero was able to create a kernel exploit that was built upon the progress of his colleague.

The process was promising enough that not only will it provide the foundation for a true iOS 12 jailbreak but would also pave the way to exploit the macOS 10.14.2 version as well. End users have been waiting for a jailbreak method that would allow them to lessen the tight grip that Apple has on its products.

With the iOS 12 jailbreak, people will be able to take full control of their device, allowing them to download certain applications that have been restricted by Apple. So far, however, no encompassing method has yet to surface as the Cupertino-based company has increased its security measures through the years, case-in-point the A12 Bionic chip.
