What makes “Arrow” Season 7 an interesting installment for the American superhero series is that it’s difficult to predict where the show is heading next. Now that the real identity of Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) has been revealed by Oliver Queen himself, the character can no longer hide behind his anonymity.
What makes the situation even more complicated is that a new Green Arrow has come out of the shadows and taken on the role built by Queen, Comic Book reported. Furthermore, this new character also has a book that seems to suggest that this vigilante is going after several people in Star City. Mysterious though this character is, showrunner Beth Schwartz said that the identity of the vigilante will be revealed before the end of “Arrow” Season 7.
The other protagonists of the show are still on the fence regarding what to make of this newcomer but two have already made up their mind. Rene (Rick Gonzales) is siding with the vigilante, while Captain Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) wants to arrest the lawbreaker as engaging in vigilante activities is considered a crime in Star City. Of course, their sentiments can change as the story progresses. As for the motives of this mysterious character, there’s nothing known about his or her intentions just yet apart from the book that’s been shown in “Arrow” Season 7.
This installment is going to be action-packed, judging by the Twitter post of Amell a few months ago. In the video, the Canadian actor said that filming four episodes of “Arrow” Season 7 was far more taxing than shooting the entirety of certain installments.
And for Amell to be actually exhausted is a telltale sign that a lot of violence will be shown in “Arrow” season 7 given that the actor is quite the athlete himself. He even conquered the challenging obstacles of “American Ninja Warrior” and managed to complete it with impressive speed.
Character development, riveting plot twists, and mysterious vigilantes – all these and more are going to take the spotlight in “Arrow” season 7. The premiere episode of the seventh installment has already aired, with the second episode, titled “The Longbow Hunters,” slated for release on Oct. 22.
