In the previous episode, the Great Tomb of Nazarick was introduced in the anime series. And in “Overlord” season 3 episode 7, the group of workers who signed up to investigate the underground location will be met with battles and even death.
“Overlord” season 3 episode 7 is part of a new arc with events focused on the Great Tomb. With that, the anime series has introduced a bunch of new characters. And more new faces on the small screen are expected to appear in this week’s episode. However, some of them are likely going to meet their demise.
As seen in the “Overlord” season 3 episode 7 preview, the groups of workers challenged and promised to be paid by Count Femel start the invasion of the Great Tomb. Ainz can also be seen preparing to face them, saying that the workers confirmed they want to explore the underground more in the hopes of finding money.
The preview shows that the Heavy Masher group will find its way to a stash of gold coins and other highly valuable items in “Overlord” season 3 episode 7. But the highlight of the episode is the fact that more than the treasures, they will also find groups of creatures protecting the Great Tomb.
Shortly after finding a box of gold, Heavy Masher leader Gringham is seen escaping the onslaught of an army of the undead. Based on the light novel series, “Overlord” season 3 episode 7 will include a scene where Gringham and another member of the group will be eaten alive by Kyouhukou’s cockroaches.
Other workers are expected to experience the same challenges in “Overlord” season 3 episode 7. The Tenmu group will be fighting a horde of lizardmen. The workers’ leader, Erya, will be facing Ainz’s pet Hamsuke in a one-on-one battle, leading to the death of the worker.
Foresight is up for the most difficult challenge in “Overlord” season 3 episode 7 as they will be facing Ainz himself. In the end, no one from the Foresight group survives.
The workers are surely in great trouble in “Overlord” season 3 episode 7 as Ainz promises in the preview that no one will leave the Great Tomb alive. Fans can catch the anime series via a simulcast on platforms like Crunchyroll on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 10:30 a.m. ET.
