“This Is Us” Season 3 Episode 2 follows one of the most depressing and heart-wrenching episodes in what is arguably one of the most tear-jerking TV series in existence. The world finally witnessed the death of Jack Pearson and it was horrific. In the wake of such an incident, it’s no wonder that it had such lasting effects on the family. In fact, it could ruin Kevin’s movie premiere.
As TV Line notes, the Pearson family is in shambles following the gruesome death of Jack. Death by fire is one of the cruelest ways for a person to die and the impact it can have on loved ones can never be understated. Just the thought of how their father must have suffered in his final moments would likely weigh heavily on the children. “This Is Us” Season 3 Episode 2 will show just how bad the effects are.
On that note, “This Is Us” Season 3 Episode 2 does provide the characters with an almost callously brief moment of positivity, as Randall received what is likely to be an acceptance letter to Howard University. Unfortunately, even this bit of good news can have unintended consequences since it would mean breaking the family apart. The acceptance would mean that Randal would need to go away, after all.
Such a series of tragic moments has undoubtedly left its mark on the kids, which led to serious food and alcohol abuse on their parts. Decades later, when it finally seems like they are moving on with their lives, the tragedies of their past still reverberate throughout their days. “This Is Us” Season 3 Episode 2, for example, sees how Kevin’s long-awaited movie premiere could be ruined by the drama that ensues.
“This Is Us” Season 3 Episode 2 will air on Oct. 2, Hidden Remote reports. Watch it on NBC.
