December is going to be huge for Xbox Game Pass. “DOOM Eternal” will headline a list of 17 new games arriving on the platform on the same day Microsoft offers the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for only $1 per month.
Everything new on Xbox Game Pass in December 2020
It has been months since video game fans first had a hunch about “DOOM Eternal” being added to the Xbox Game Pass library. Back in September, the streaming service’s official Twitter page shared a supposed internal memo. But fans quickly found one major Easter egg that subtly confirmed the addition of the popular first-person shooter game to its catalog.
“DOOM Eternal” goes live on Xbox Game Pass on Thursday, Dec. 3 along with “Control,” “Haven,” “Rage 2,” “Slime Rancher,” “Va-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action,” and “Yes, Your Grace.” On Dec. 4, “Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition” will be available while nine more games will be added through Dec. 10 for Android, console, and PC subscribers.
Xbox Game Pass perks and huge deals for holiday 2020
Coinciding the release of “DOOM Eternal” is a limited time offer that lets new users pay only $1 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the first three months. Without the promo, Ultimate membership costs $14.99 per month but it has several exclusive perks like having access to the games catalog across console, PC, and Android devices.
Also being offered this month is a 30-day free access to Disney+ for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users who have yet to try the TV and movie streaming service. This limited-time perk can be claimed until Jan. 31, 2021 through the Perks Gallery on Xbox consoles and Xbox Game Pass mobile app.
PC gamers subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are also getting the highly anticipated EA Play catalog on Dec. 10 following its launch on Xbox consoles last month. There was a reported glitch on Xbox Game Pass PC earlier this week that may have revealed what EA Play titles are being added to the service. Screenshots of the error were posted on Twitter suggesting that several “Battlefield” games, “Anthem,” the “Crysis” series, “Titanfall 2,” and the “Dead Space” trilogy are among the biggest additions to anticipate later this month.
