Executive Director, Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research, University of Windsor
In 2019, Robert Michael McKay joined the University of Windsor where he serves as the Executive Director of the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research and Professor in the School of the Environment. Professor McKay’s research is focused on large lakes where he studies the biogeochemical cycling of nutrients, harmful algal blooms and winter limnology. He holds a PhD from McGill University and has held academic appointments through the US and Canada. He is the author of over 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts and currently serves as an investigator on research grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council and Environment and Climate Change Canada.
