AMC Theaters is offering something new to its customers. The theater chain announced it would start serving plant-based chicken nuggets to movie-goers as snacks while they watch a movie.
It was reported that AMC Theaters would make the Impossible chicken nuggets available in its theaters located in 37 states. With this, the new snack offering is expected to be sold in hundreds of the company's cinemas across the United States, as per VegNews.
The Impossible chicken nuggets are made from plants, and it was only introduced by the alternative meat manufacturer last summer thus, the product is still quite new. The company is most known for its beef burger patties, while the chicken nuggets are really a new addition to its plant-based meat products.
"We've been working for years to be able to make this announcement. Next week, we will introduce at most of our AMC-brand theatres Impossible Nuggets," Adam Aron, AMC Theaters' chief executive officer, tweeted late last week to announce the nuggets' arrival to its theaters. "With crispy breading on the outside and a tender juicy bite on the inside, it's hard to believe they are made solely from plants."

The Impossible chicken nuggets will be available at AMC Theaters starting Jan. 12. It was noted that this would be the first time that a movie house will be serving nuggets as a theater snack.
As per VegOutMag, the nuggets will only be available at participating AMC branches in the U.S. These will be rolled out in these states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Finally, AMC Theaters is the latest company to announce the addition of a vegan option in the food items being offered to customers. In recent weeks, Yum Brands' KFC, Pizza Hut, and McDonald's have also partnered with a plant-based food producer to start selling vegan options to customers as "meatless" food is fast-gaining popularity these days.
