Adidas Originals and BAPE are again at the forefront of the streetwear scene with the upcoming launch of the Adidas N BAPE sneaker. Set to debut on April 20th, this collaboration continues to celebrate the 30-year-strong friendship between the two iconic brands.
According to a press release, the sneaker is an homage to the early 2000s. It features a suede upper with rubber outsoles and contrast-stitched Three Stripes, redefining effortless city style.
Unmistakably BAPE
Every element of the Adidas N BAPE sneaker reflects the deep-rooted collaboration between Adidas and BAPE. The shoes are adorned with BAPE’s 1ST CAMO on the lining and sock liners, the iconic APE HEAD debossed on the side, and a BAPE STA logo embroidered on the heel.
Co-branded details like silver eyelets and a jumbo Adidas Trefoil on the tongue leave no doubt of the sneaker's prestigious lineage. Additionally, each pair comes with a leather key chain and three sets of laces, including two ‘fat’ laces for a throwback look.
Exclusive Packaging and Availability
The Adidas N BAPE sneaker stands out not only for its design but also for its presentation, arriving in a custom co-branded box complete with a blue mesh bag. Available in two distinct colorways, the sneaker will be accessible via the Adidas CONFIRMED app, selected retailers, BAPE STORE, and BAPE.COM. An all-black version will be exclusively available at BAPE, making it a coveted piece for collectors and fans alike.
In light of the nostalgic appeal, it's interesting to note the sneaker's nod to Adidas' Norton, or NRTN skate shoes, from the '90s, further cementing the collaboration's celebration of legacy and innovation.
High Snobiety noted that despite previous legal skirmishes hinted at by the "LWST" moniker, this launch aims to highlight the positive, enduring partnership between Adidas and BAPE.
