NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2017 -- Dr. Glenn G. Taylor of NOSS – Neurosurgery, Orthopedics & Spine Specialists, PC, Waterbury, Connecticut, has been recognized as “America’s Best Doctor” by the American Health Council. He will be sharing his knowledge and expertise on orthopedic surgery, spine care, complex & revision spine surgery, trauma, general orthopedics and sports medicine.
With over forty years of experience in the field of medicine, Dr. Taylor provides valuable insight in his role as a founding partner at NOSS – the highly regarded practice that includes specialists in neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, pain management, sports medicine, physiatry, chiropractic and occupational and physical therapy who emphasize collaborative, evidence based health care management of musculoskeletal and spinal conditions for their patients.
Dr. Taylor has served the greater Waterbury community as attending orthopedic surgeon at Waterbury Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital since 1981. He held the position of Chief of Medical Staff at Waterbury Hospital Health Center from 2005-2007. Dr. Taylor specializes in both non-operative spine care and complex and revision spine surgery, trauma and general orthopedics. At NOSS, his day-to-day responsibilities range from general orthopedics, treatment of spinal diseases & disorders and fracture care in addition to independent medical evaluations, second opinions and medical record reviews.
Dr. Taylor completed his undergraduate education at King’s College, London and earned his medical degree from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London, England in 1975. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1981. Dr. Taylor is board certified in orthopedic surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Taylor maintains affiliations with the following organizations: American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, American Medical Association, American Academy of Sports Physicians, North American Spine Society, New Haven County Medical Association, and Waterbury Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Taylor serves as a board member of Teen Cancer America, a charity devoted to the improvement of the lives of teenagers and young adults afflicted with cancer.
