The latest Nintendo Direct did not fully reveal the next update for “Animal Crossing: New Horizons,” but it left fans with a massive hint at the arrival of a highly requested character. Nintendo has now announced a date for the dedicated livestream for the game, giving more clues that Brewster may finally come to the game.
Nintendo announced on Wednesday that the dedicated “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” livestream is happening on Friday, Oct. 15, at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET. The online event will be shorter than the recently concluded “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” event, as the company says it will run for “roughly 20 minutes” only. But the fact that Nintendo decided to host a separate announcement suggests the next update might include significant improvements or highly requested content that will be released next month.
Fans will be able to watch the “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” livestream through YouTube. Nintendo has already added a link for the virtual event on the website. Players can click the “Set reminder” button so they can receive a notification once the countdown for the event starts next week.
Nintendo is not giving much information about the content and updates coming to “Animal Crossing: New Horizons.” But the teaser released last month should be enough to hint at the arrival of the players’ beloved pigeon barista.
The 40-second teaser from last month’s Nintendo Direct almost confirms that The Roost is coming back. In the video, a character climbs up to the upper level of the museum that leads to the entrance to The Roost, which will be open 24/7 in the game. Brewster has been the character that runs The Roost in previous titles.
The background image for the “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” Direct next week also shows an interior of a café. So it appears that the upcoming announcement will highlight the addition of the fan-favorite location in the franchise.
Avid fans may have also noticed the significance of the date Oct. 15. Aside from the “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” event taking place that day, it also happens to be Brewster’s birthday.
