Apple Vision Pro owners who forget the passcode they set will need to take the gadget to an Apple retail shop to reset it. If you forget your Vision Pro passcode, there appears to be no way to reset it on the device.
If You Forget Your Vision Pro Passcode, You'll Need To Visit An Apple Store
When setting up the Vision Pro, it will prompt you for a six-digit passcode, which must be input twice, as per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Customers can choose a longer or shorter passcode. Optic ID can be used instead of a passcode. However, it operates similarly to Face ID or Touch ID; the passcode is required after a restart and in some other instances.
Apple has instructed customers who have forgotten their Vision Pro passcodes that they either visit a retail shop for a repair or ship the headset to Apple if there is no nearby store. The erroneous passcode cannot be entered too many times, as it will disable the device and need a waiting period before it can be entered again. Removing the passcode necessitates deleting all content on the Vision Pro.
To remove a passcode from an iPhone or iPad, the device must be wiped, which may be done at home using a Mac or PC. To reset the Apple Watch, which cannot connect to a Mac or PC, use the Digital Crown on the device or link it to an iPhone.
The Vision Pro has an erase content setting; however, you cannot enter reset mode by pressing a combination of buttons. You may only erase the Vision Pro using the Settings app.
Customers with the $300 Developer Strap may be able to clean the device from a Mac, but most customers will be unable to obtain this accessory because it is only available to registered developers in the US.
Apple Vision Pro to Launch in China 'No Later Than May,' According to Report
According to supply chain insiders cited by Asia's Wall Street News, Apple's Vision Pro headset will be available in China as early as April and "no later than May. "
According to the source, the device's registration process at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is nearing completion, clearing the way for the Vision Pro's launch in the country, though unit availability is initially likely to be limited.
Apple has officially stated that, following its recent launch in the United States on February 2, Apple Vision Pro will be available in more countries later this year, though the company has not specified which countries or when, as per MacRumors.
According to internal sources at Apple, as quoted by Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the introduction of Vision Pro in other countries around the world will not "actually be that much later" than the U.S. release.
According to Gurman, Apple is looking at making the United Kingdom and Canada the first overseas regions to receive the mixed reality headset this year.
Soon after, Apple is believed to be considering bringing the Vision Pro to the rest of Europe and Asia, with Apple engineers planning to localize the gadget in France, Germany, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will most likely introduce its Vision Pro headset outside of the United States prior to its Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2024. Kuo bases his prediction on information indicating that Apple intends to release fresh details regarding Vision, the device's operating system, to developers around the world at its forthcoming developer conference.
