‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 22, titled “Missing,” will feature the return of Black Siren as she helps Adrian Chase defeat Oliver Queen. Meanwhile, Felicity is set to organize a birthday party for Oliver.
The synopsis for episode 22 posted on TV Guide reads, “Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) returns to help Chase (Josh Segarra); Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) organizes a birthday party for Oliver (Stephen Amell); Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is furious after Rene (guest star Rick Gonzales) misses the custody hearing for his daughter.”
It seems that Chase will be getting some help from his fellow villains in the upcoming episode. Katie Cassidy is set to reprise her role as the meta-human criminal Laurel Lance from Earth Two, otherwise known as Black Siren. Promotional photographs posted on Superhero Hype shows Black Siren looking pleased as she bent down beside Quentin Lance, who was in chains and kept in containment together with Thea Queen a.k.a. Speed (Willa Holland).
The villainess gained the power of screaming at high frequency after she was exposed to dark matter released from Harrison Wells’ S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator. She was brought to Earth One, where she fought The Flash after which she was defeated and imprisoned at S.T.A.R. Labs pipeline.
Black Siren was eventually released by Adrian Chase a.k.a. Prometheus and became an ally in his vendetta against Oliver a.k.a. Green Arrow. It seems that Malcolm Merlyn a.k.a. Dark Archer (John Barrowman) will also make an appearance in the new episode.
Meanwhile, Felicity is set to organize Oliver’s birthday party. The promotional photographs released ahead of the premiere hints that the titular protagonist’s celebration will go along well all thanks to Felicity’s efforts. It will be interesting to see Team Arrow as they get a break from all the crime-fighting.
‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 22, titled “Missing,” is scheduled to air on The CW on May 17, 2017. It was directed by and written by. It will be followed by episode 23, titled “Lian Yu,” directed by Jesse Warn and scheduled to be released on May 24.
