Marvel has been very tight-lipped about their future superhero movies ever since the release of "Avengers: Infinity War," aside from the confirmation that "Avengers 4" and “Captain Marvel” are on the horizon for 2019.
Though "Ant-Man and the Wasp" may have graced cinemas after the drastic Thanos-focused film, even certain members of its cast were not safe from the Titan megalomaniac's desired utterly perfect balance. But Marvel's release schedule may give us clues as to who amongst our favorite Marvel heroes won't be staying down for long.
“Spider-Man: Far From Home” was already confirmed to show after the May 2019 release of “Avengers 4” with a July 5, 2019 debut. But Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios head, confirmed in an interview with Slashfilm that Doctor Strange, who has a Sanctum Sanctorum location in London, won't be appearing in the film. But there might be a specific Avenger making it back just in time after the fourth “Avengers” movie.
Posting on his personal Instagram page from Watford, United Kingdom, Samuel L. Jackson may have just added Nick Fury to the list of heroes coming back “post-Avengers 4.”
The post confirms that Fury will be involved in scenes in the United Kingdom, which might mean he will appear in the upcoming Spider-Man flick. The confirmed beard and scars may help differentiate Fury's appearance in "Spider-Man" from his possible appearance in "Captain Marvel," which would be set in the '90s.
For those worried about Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange not making it out alive in “Avengers 4” due to Feige's “No Doctor” confirmation for “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” “Doctor Strange 2” got confirmed as being in the works by the Marvel Studio head in an interview with CinemaBlend.
While the aforementioned Doctor doesn't seem to be making an appearance in Holland's “Spider-Man” movie set in London, Feige has definitely confirmed the second film to be something the studio will be working on in the future, sealing Doctor Strange's fate as ultimately alive after 2019's “Avengers 4.”
