There is no doubt that a lot of fans are just waiting for “Avengers: Endgame” to come out and finally satisfy their desire to see their favorite superheroes back in action. However, these viewers might get more than they bargained for with the movie going for a whopping three hours in run time. What’s more, it would seem that Captain Marvel will be joining in on the fun.
As reported by Collider, the Russo brothers revealed that as of now, “Avengers: Endgame” will still go for three hours in theatres. If this remains the case until the April premiere, this would make it the longest movie in the MCU lineup. Then again, considering how much it would need to cover, perhaps that kind of run time makes more sense.
“I think the studio is down with what the best story is. Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great responses from our test audiences and we’re feeling very good about where it is,” Joe Russo said in a recent interview.
“We’re still doing work to it. We’re not done with it. Again, this is a culmination film of 22 movies, it’s a lot of storytelling to work into it. Emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us. When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate.”
It was also recently pointed out that the appearance of a Captain Marvel merchandise hints at the character being in “Avengers: Endgame.” It would make sense if she does since her own movie will introduce her to the fans and the surviving heroes will need all of the help they can get. With the film premiering on April 24, fans have plenty to look forward to.
