America’s former first couple, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, is now being linked to one of the biggest royal family news to hit 2020 yet. A report recently claimed that the Obamas have been guiding the Sussex royals as they venture into a new way of life.
The first month of 2020 is not even done yet, but breaking news in various fields have already caught the world by surprise. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are responsible for one of the biggest news this early in the new decade after suddenly announcing they are stepping away from the royal spotlight.
Barack Obama, Michelle Obama: Ex-first couple offers guidance to the controversial royal couple?
It did not take long before other very popular names were dragged into the issues surrounding Markle and Prince Harry. A source of Daily Mail claimed that the Sussex royals have been consulting with the Obamas to discuss how they can take the same path they took after leaving the White House.
In the eight years that Barack Obama was president of the United States, the public has admired his marriage, making him and Michelle Obama one of the most famous power couples in the world. When they left the White House, they decided to become private citizens while not going back to practicing law. Instead, they have been working on their foundation and international initiatives.
There is also no denying that they have somewhat achieved a celebrity status leading to lucrative book deals such as the former first lady’s best-selling memoir “Becoming.” It was reported in March 2019 that the book was slated to surpass 10 million sold copies after only being released in November of the previous year.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle announced last week their decision to “step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family,” adding that they now intend to “work” and support their family finances independently. Mail’s source added, “In fact, it is fair to say that their star has soared since leaving the White House, particularly Michelle’s, and this is something Meghan admires very, very much,” Mail’s source added.
Obama sources refute rumors they are helping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
While some people may find it fascinating that two of the most popular couples in the world are working together behind the cameras, sources close to the Obamas have since denied Mail’s report. “The rumors of them having anything to do with this are totally false. The former president and first lady are not advising the couple and have not been in contact with them,” one of the insiders told PEOPLE.
