SHANGHAI, China and ATLANTA, Oct. 25, 2017 -- Leading Chinese logistics operator Beijing Data Online International Supply Chain Management Co., has selected Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANH) to optimize order fulfillment across its logistics services operations and to maintain its strong growth trajectory. The company plans to implement the Manhattan SCALE™ solution in 48 of its warehouses within the next 18 months.
Established in 2014, the Jingjingang International Logistics subsidiary specializes in the importing and distribution of food and beverage products. The company is growing rapidly, registering 130 percent business growth in its most recent financial year. Beijing Data Online needed new supply chain technology that could effectively handle the additional complexity associated with its rapid expansion, deliver improved visibility of inventory across its distribution centers (DCs) and accelerate goods flows for customers. Consequently, it looked to Manhattan and its dedicated global distribution management and order fulfillment solution.
“We have been able to achieve our remarkable growth to date through a great service offering and a highly professional team. Our incumbent supply chain system, however, lacked the depth and breadth of functionality to continue scaling the business to accommodate the continued strong growth we are anticipating,” said Zhang Xingjun, Director of IT Operations at Beijing Data Online.
Beijing Data Online selected Manhattan based on its rich heritage of working with logistics services operators across the globe, the depth of experience amongst its 3,000-strong team of supply chain experts, and its proven success working with companies operating in a wide range of industry sectors in China over the last decade.
Stone Chen, General Manager of Manhattan Associates, Greater China said: “Manhattan’s service capability in China, coupled with our advanced technology, will give Beijing Data Online the ability to operate its extensive distribution network in a highly efficient manner for many years ahead. The highly scalable and flexible nature of our solutions means Beijing Data Online can be confident it is equipped with the right technology to support its ongoing growth and continue delivering on its service promise to customers.”
