BioWare is about to give collectors who are fans of the BioShock franchise a treat come November when its BioShock 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition package arrives. It’s a limited offer that comes with a BioShock: The Collection physical copy and costs only $200. For those who are absolutely obsessed with everything BioShock, this would be quite the appealing product.
The first BioShock game came out for the PC back in 2007 and absolutely crushed it. Many thought of it as a weird game and even BioWare didn’t think that it would become the hit title that it would turn out to be. As it turns out, gamers were pining for weird and the underwater dystopia story was exactly what they needed. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, therefore, the studio went with something special, Polygon reports.
Included in the package is the franchise bundle released last year, which includes remastered versions of BioShock 1 and 2, and the normal version of BioShock Infinite. All of the downloadable contents included in the games are part of the collector’s edition, as well.
Of course, since this is a collector’s edition game, there would obviously be a crazy novelty item involved. This is where the Big Daddy statue that stands 11 inches in height comes in, with a cute little sister standing beside him holding one of those Adam syringes that they carry. The drill on the Big Daddy’s hand is motorized and the lights on the statue blink upon activation.
So, how exclusive is this collector’s item? Well, it’s only going to be sold in the US, GameZone reports, and only GameStop and 2K Stores will sell them. The number of units available is incredibly limited as well, so it’s best to make a pre-order right now. The games are playable on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
