‘Black Mirror’ has made a big move from Britain’s Channel 4 to Netflix. Series creator and executive producer Charlie Brooker praised Netflix’s support for the anthology series. Meanwhile, Bryce Dallas Howard admitted to finally joining social media because of a group of loyal fans.

According to the Syndey Morning Herald, the British anthology series examining the horrors and consequences of modern society’s new technologies has made a bold move from Britain’s Channel 4 to its new home on Netflix.

The television series was first broadcast on Channel 4 on 2011, with its first two seasons produced by television and online comedy production company Zeppotron for Dutch-based media company Endemol. On September 2015, Netflix commissioned a third season consisting of 12 episodes when Channel 4 dropped the series.

The series was created by English satirist and broadcaster Charlie Brooker. According to the Business Insider, he wrote about television before venturing out to writing for the small screen with a weekly column entitled “Screen Burn” published on the Guardian.

During a recent interview, Brooker admitted that he is yet to see Netflix’s “satanic side” and was all praises for the multinational entertainment company. He said, "I haven’t seen a satanic side. They’ve been brilliant… They’ve been very collaborative, they’ve not been like cigar chomping American execs who say: 'Put some t*tties and some kids in it.' None of that."

He continued, "They’re very thoughtful and when they have notes on the script, it’s always very useful, annoyingly useful. I haven’t seen a down side. But then I would say that."

As with his series’ first home, he explained, "Channel 4 wanted to see every single thing in advance and wouldn’t have even had to put in much money. They wanted to see every single storyline, every single script. It was just impossible and held the whole thing up. We were supposed to do the third series in 2013/14, which they effectively decommissioned."

Meanwhile, Bryce Dallas Howard revealed that she has finally joined social media. Howard played a social-media obsessed character named Lacie Pound from the ‘Black Mirror’ episode “Nosedive” in a twist of irony. The episode followed Lacie in a dystopian future where social-media rankings were required in order to access everything in society such as housing and health care.

Howard said, "That's why this world feels like it's happening already… Very quickly, we're getting to more and more systems where people are rating one another with likes and whatnot. Airbnb, Yelp, Uber - it's everywhere.”

According to People.com, the 35-year old American beauty admitted that a special group of fans called “The Bryce Squad” helped with her decision in joining the online world. She said, ““I felt actually protected by [the squad], because when there’s a comment that isn’t right, my husband will notice he’ll say, ‘I saw something that popped up and [the squad] responded so fast!’… I was like, ‘Oh my god… they’re like my guardian angels.”

‘Black Mirror’ is a British anthology television series that deals with the dark and satirical themes associated with the consequences of new technology. It is executive produced by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones.
