This is a very exciting time for fans following the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” manga series. The events of the latest chapter released are certainly getting closer to the cryptic first scenes of the entire series with Boruto and Kawaki fighting. Before that, some loose ends need to be resolved first, and “Boruto” chapter 39 might have some of the answers.
‘Boruto’ chapter 39 spoilers: Sasuke and Boruto leaves to train
The very first sequence of the series features a fight between Kawaki and Boruto where the former said, “I’ll send you where I sent the Seventh Hokage.” That line makes sense now as Isshiki Otsutsuki (using Jigen as a vessel) has sealed Naruto in a dimension only Sasuke can find. These details together suggest that Naruto would not be free in “Boruto” chapter 39 or the foreseeable future.
Isshiki’s maximum power was not even shown, but he almost killed Sasuke and managed to trap Naruto. The Hokage is helpless, and the remaining ninjas in Konohagakure need to decide in “Boruto” chapter 39 how to move forward to save Naruto and to prepare for Isshiki’s attack.
Boruto has the karma from Momoshiki, and it is obviously one of the very few options they have to prepare for the future. It would then make sense for Sasuke and Boruto to decide it is time to start their extensive training. “Boruto” chapter 39 might offer the opening scenes to this milestone.
‘Boruto’ chapter 39 release date, future predictions: Are Naruto and Sasuke going to die?
The start of the series already hinted at another war against the Shinobi world with Kawaki as the main enemy. It is now clear that Boruto could be fighting Isshiki in the body of Kawaki. Without Naruto and Sasuke seriously injured, Kawaki’s return to the Kara might even be one of the highlights in “Boruto” chapter 39.
Going back to that very first scene, there are several interesting details to note. First, Kawaki talks about Naruto as if he is a thing of the past. Second, Boruto is wearing a cape and carved headband that both seem to be from Sasuke. With how the fight with Isshiki/Jigen went down, it is now not impossible for Naruto and Sasuke to face their demise in the near or distant future. Whatever happens in “Boruto” chapter 39 will be important, but fans will have to wait for its release on Oct. 20.
