Boston Beer Company is offering a whiskey-infused version of its Twisted Tea Hard Iced Tea brand as part of its partnership with Beam Suntory.
Twisted Tea Sweet Tea Whiskey is made with real brewed tea, and packed with the sweet tea taste balanced with whiskey for a smooth blend of oak and bright lemon.
Stephanie Kang, senior director of strategic ventures at Beam Suntory, said they are reimagining the Twisted Tea Hard Iced Tea as a whiskey to deliver on the bold and unexpected experiences consumers are looking for.
The 32.5 percent alcohol by volume beverage will be sold in five US states, including Missouri, Texas, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, as well as military stores.
Last year, a long-term strategic relationship between the Boston Beer Co. and Beam Suntory was announced to introduce some legendary brands into the fastest-growing beverage categories.
