MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 07, 2017 -- Boyden, a premier global talent and leadership advisory firm, today released its latest issue of the Boyden Leadership Series, featuring an in-depth interview with Janelle Gale, Vice President of Human Resources at Facebook.
In the interview, Gale shares insights on her own recruitment to the role, Facebook’s unique approach to HR practices, the importance of an open and transparent culture, and how her involvement in an entrepreneurial charity in rural Pakistan has affected her perspective on Silicon Valley.
“Janelle’s experience at one of the world’s most recognizable technology companies offers a unique perspective on innovative talent development,” said Trina Gordon, President and CEO of Boyden World Corporation. “Her knowledge of organizational culture makes her insights valuable both to fellow industry professionals, as well as to prospective candidates across the sector landscape.”
“The impact of the work undertaken by Janelle and her team across Facebook’s global operations cannot be overstated,” said Daniel Grassi, a Managing Partner of Boyden United States and an expert in the digital, social and multimedia sectors. “She has been instrumental in creating the transparent, engaged and highly productive working culture that Facebook has today.”
In Gale’s current role, she leads a team that partners with the business to grow and engage Facebook’s 17,000+ employees across more than 50 offices in 30 countries, evolves the organizational design, and creates and implements people programs while ensuring the scalability of Facebook’s culture.
