Burger King in South Korea launches its new Guinness Stacker to celebrate the sale of ten million Guinness Whoppers. This new item is a massive burger that is made with three quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patties and comes with three slices of cheese, onions, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, Guinness Irish stout-infused stacker sauce, and mayonnaise.
According to Chew Boom, Burger King South Korea’s Guinness Stacker is completed with a stout-infused sesame seed bun. It should be noted that this menu item has been added to BK restaurants in the country but will only be available for a limited time and in some participating locations.
It was said that this barbecue Whopper is Ireland-inspired, and it is currently taking over South Korea. The craze has reached fever-pitch, which only means that Koreans also love the Irish taste.
The Irish Mirror reported that someone from Ireland posted on Reddit about how popular the Guinness Stacker has become in South Korea. It was reported that this person has been staying in the land of K-pop after being stuck due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Redditor posted a photo of the Stacker ad on the forum, and people commented that the burger is really huge and it might taste so good as well.
The Irish who posted the photo captioned his entry with the statement, “I assume this is the latest taste sensation back home too.” Some of the commenters posted some suggestions as to how they wish the Guinness Stacker was prepared, such as using a white bun instead of the black one.
Regardless of the bun color, it was also discussed how the new Burger King Stacker would go well with beer since Koreans love to drink. And apparently, Koreans also love the Guinness brand of Irish beer, so it is a perfect combination.
Meanwhile, the Burger King Guinness Whopper has been on the menu in South Korea for about a year, but the Stacker version is a new addition. It offers more beef patties and features more Guinness barbecue too. One thing is sure, the popularity of this menu with beer-inspired sauce has captured the tastebuds of the Koreans and making the burger a popular choice in BK restaurants across the nation.
