Fans can now rejoice as CSI: Cyber has returned after its midseason break. The second season of the hit TV series has returned and aired its eleventh episode last January 10 with the title "404: Flight Not Found". So, if you haven't watched and you want an info as to what the episode is all about, then you are in the right for spoilers are everywhere in this article.
The title itself clearly speaks for itself for the story will center around a commercial flight (Argus-272) whose route is from Tampa, Florida to Providence, Rhode Island suddenly disappears into thin air. The Team Cyber will be dealing this and find out the root of the problem.
With the incredible talent and skill of the team, they have discovered that the missing plane was intentionally diverted from its original path and onto a new one, all done through a cyber intrusion. So how was the hacker able to hide a signal of an airplane with such massive size? Clearly, the hacker was very good at this job for he used a reflective material which is actually a software-defined radio that’s used to imitate radio frequencies in order to infiltrate secure networks.
And if you're wondering who the hacker is, the answer is Erica Chan, a Chinese student, who so cleverly disguised the white noise generator into a portable oxygen breathing apparatus. Questions then arise as to what are her motives behind her actions and it was discovered that she is after a witness to a murder who is currently under the FBI Witness Protection.
On the other hand, viewers will get to see a new face in the show as the former NFL player Emmitt Smith will guest in the show and play as himself. He will be shown signing autographs for fans and he will get to be in a scene with Brody Nelson (Shad Moss) and Daniel Krumitz (Charley Koontz).
Watch out for the next episode of CSI: Cyber this January 31.
