Celine Dion’s health has been making headlines in recent months as the 50-year-old songstress appears to have lost significant weight. One of the speculations for this is supposedly the amount of work that the diva is immersing herself in, Radar Online (via Naughty Gossip) reported.
While Radar Online isn’t a reliable publication, to begin with, their premise does have merit as Celine Dion’s schedule is indeed a hectic one. Her Las Vegas residency alone is taking up much of the accomplished singer’s time. And now, she’s also working outside of that schedule as it’s been announced that she’s teaming up with James Corden on a new “Carpool Karaoke” special, CBS reported.
But even though Celine Dion’s health may be cause for concern to others, “The Power of Love” singer said that her weight loss is intentional. She revealed this information a couple of months ago after multiple outlets published a story about her weight.
“If I like it, I don't want to talk about it. Don't bother. Don't take a picture. I'm doing this for me. I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy. If you like it, I'll be there. If you don't, leave me alone,” Celine Dion previously said.
Outside of her health, however, is another issue that is hanging above the singer’s head. Last month, news broke out that ICM Partners – the agency that has represented Celine Dion since the start of her career – is suing her on the grounds of unpaid commissions.
The agency said that although they’ve made several efforts to meet the singer halfway, it didn’t pan out as both parties would’ve hoped. As such, ICM Partners has cut ties with Celine Dion and is planning to take her to court to resolve the matter. In response, Dion and CDA Production debunked the claim that they weren’t cooperating with ICM.
What’s more, they also said that the agency didn’t cut ties with them but was rather terminated on May 7, 2018. Celine Dion said that although her camp made “several very fair and generous offers,” ICM still refused the deal and opted to follow their current decision. So far, it’s still unclear how this back and forth will unfold as both parties have remained reticent since then.
