“Cyberpunk 2077” will be an emotional journey as confirmed by lead quest designer Pawel Sasko. But apart from the storyline, one of the things that are attracting attention is the mini-games that the developers have given the title.
For anyone who’s been playing the games of CD Projekt Red, you’d know that the studio has a penchant for creating mini-games that’s not only fun but has depth as well. In fact, Gwent – the mini-game inside “Witcher 3” – became so popular that it evolved into a standalone title of its own. “Cyberpunk 2077” could produce another such hit.
Unfortunately, the developers are a bit cagey about these things, and we’ll simply need to wait until the game comes out next year to see what sort of gimmick the studio has come out this time around. But they did say that “Cyberpunk 2077” will be featuring several of these mini-games including hacking, boxing, racing, and competition on shooting ranges, Gamesradar reported.
Cyberpunk 2077 to add Mike Pondsmith into the game
Meanwhile, Cyberpunk tabletop creator Mike Pondsmith revealed that he’s going to play a role in “Cyberpunk 2077” but didn’t disclose details about it. Pondsmith said that his role was due to a lot of people highly requesting the studio to add him into the game, PCGamer reported.
As for the anticipation surrounding the title, the gaming community is still abuzz with excitement despite “Cyberpunk 2077” still eight months away from being released. This excitement is expected to reach overdrive on Aug. 30 since the developers revealed they’ll be dropping another gameplay demo during this year’s PAX West.
Cyberpunk 2077 to drop on April 20
It’s still unclear how much information this new gameplay demo will reveal, but it’ll likely be as extensive as the one that’s been shown last year. Hopefully, CD Projekt Red provides a glimpse about the megastructures in “Cyberpunk 2077” as it’s one of the main areas of interest that gamers are eager to explore.
Others, however, are more interested in seeing the areas outside of Night City and what sort of chaotic society is thriving there. With regards to its release date, “Cyberpunk 2077” has been slated for release on April 20, 2020.
The game has been created with a dark theme where players will journey throughout Night City in an attempt to finally wriggle out of its grasp. Along the way, they’ll encounter gangs, corporate elites, cyber ghosts, and memorable companions where everything culminates to a journey that is filled with epic gunfights and emotional payout.
