Cybertruck Non-Foundation Pre-Orders Begin at $79,990
Tesla has started accepting pre-orders for its Cybertruck Non-Foundation model, offering the all-electric pickup truck at a starting price of $79,990 without the additional features of the Foundation Series. This move signals the impending production of standard variants of the Cybertruck.
Thanks to the $20,000 increase in the Cybertruck's basic price from the Foundation Series, the Cybertruck All Wheel Drive (AWD) went from $79,990 (before options) to $99,990, and the tri-motor Cyberbeast went from $99,990 to $119,990 (all-electric pickup truck). Although the Foundation Series increased the price for purchasers, it included a lot of frills and conveniences.
Tesla Removes Foundation Series Extras
Screenshots and videos published on X and forums like the Cybertruck Owners Club show that consumers may now order the all-electric pickup truck without any extras thanks to the removal of the Foundation Series.
Customers may get a Cybertruck AWD with Core Wheels and Covers, Tactical Grey Decor, no Full Self-Driving (FSD), and no accessories for $79,990 before taxes and fees, Teslarati explains.
Optional Features for Non-Foundation Buyers
When clients order a regular Cybertruck with all the upgrades that come with a Foundation Series vehicle, the price difference becomes fairly modest, according to several members of the Tesla community. For instance, the White Interior Color costs $2,000, Cyber Wheels and Covers costs $3,500, and FSD costs $7,000 for early reservation holders ($8,000 for new customers).
Early adopters can expect to pay around $3,000 more than the standard price for a number of extra features included with the Foundation Series, such as a $2,500 Tesla Shop voucher, 3D all-weather interior liners, gear locker dividers, a glass roof sunshade, D-rings, L-track hooks, an L-track bottle opener, a center console tray, Powershare mobile connectivity, lifetime premium connectivity, and an off-road light bar for the Cyberbeast.
The Foundation Series premium was deemed worthwhile by some customers when these savings are taken into account.
