When the Beta for the PC version of Destiny 2 first came out, it was exclusive only to those who pre-ordered the game. Now, it has been opened to the public, with players getting to take Bungie’s new FPS, sci-fi title out for a spin. Of course, with the franchise starting out as a console exclusive, many PC players might not even know what Destiny 2 is. That’s why the developers release a new trailer to explain the gist of the game.
In terms of actual features, the PC version of the game is relatively the same as the console version, Gamespot reports. On that note, there have been several publications remarking how much better Destiny 2 looks on high-end PCs compared to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.
There’s also the matter of tweaks that Bungie did after receiving feedback during the console Beta and the new Crucible map is quite engaging. More to the point, one of the main reasons for trying out the PC Beta is to test out rigs.
If the current setup of a gamer’s PC is incapable of bringing out the full potential of the game, it can cause a drop in how satisfactorily it is received. Through their participation in the Beta, gamers might have enough time to upgrade their rigs so that they’ll be able to fully enjoy Destiny 2 once it comes out for the PC, which won’t be for a few months from now.
Speaking of things that could reduce satisfaction when playing the game, Bungie released a new trailer that discusses what the title is all about for PC gamers, Forbes reports. Immersion is one of the most important aspects of gaming that a lot of players attach value to. If they don’t understand the game, it’s likely that they won’t enjoy it.
