Donald Trump continues to perform his duties and interacts with a huge number of people as the deadly coronavirus outbreak continues.
As such, netizens couldn’t help but wonder what will happen if the POTUS is diagnosed with the disease. Since the president is already 73 years old, he is more susceptible to getting hit by the virus than younger individuals.
And since he’s always in contact with Vice President Mike Pence, there is also a possibility for him to get diagnosed with the coronavirus.
According to Political Flare, Trump and Pence would need to go on self-quarantine or 14 days to know whether or not they will experience the known symptoms of the deadly virus. And if they are diagnosed with it, they can no longer perform their duties in person.
Journalist Jason Miciak claimed that one of the reasons why Trump doesn’t want to get tested is because he doesn’t want Nancy Pelosi to be in charge while he and Pence are recovering at home.
“So, to the ultimate question, what would happen if both Trump and Pence came down with Covid-19? It would depend upon the severity of the case, and if both were severely ill at the same time, there would be a temporary change of power to Nancy Pelosi, provided that she wasn’t sick herself,” he said.
Meanwhile, Trump has been assuring Americans that he and his administration are doing everything that they can to help individuals and families that are affected by the coronavirus.
“To those families and citizens who are worried and concerned for themselves and their loved ones, I want you to know that your Federal Government will unleash every authority, resource and tool at its disposal to safeguard the lives and health of our people,” he tweeted.
Unfortunately, the POTUS’s tweet generated a slew of different reactions from netizens. One of them accused the president of being incompetent while another said that he’s doing the best that he can.
