“Dr. Stone” season 2 will be presenting a new arc when it premieres. Now that Senku and the villagers have created most of the things that they needed to protect themselves, fans can’t wait for the next season and see how they will use each tool.
Since they have invented most of the things mainly to have tools to fight in a war, “Dr. Stone” season 2 may now focus on Senku’s search for answers for the mysterious petrification event that stopped the world thousands of years ago. He is lucky to be unpetrified and it is perhaps because he was fated to solve the mystery and save the civilization.
Is the series renewed
First of all, “Dr. Stone” season 2 has been renewed late last year so it is certain that it will be arriving this year. The renewal of this anime was announced in December 2019 by TOHO Animation.
The news of “Dr. Stone” season 2 was made through a video teaser. The short clip also revealed that it will offer a new arc called “Stone Wars” and it will probably be a new adventure for Senku, Gen and Chrome. The three friends were shown making a promise not to leave each other’s side and to “fight until the end.”
What to expect
Apparently, Senku, his friends and the villagers will be facing a war but their rival is still uncertain. Tsukasa became Senku’s friend so they are probably facing a new opponent that was never shown before.
It is possible that in this war, Tsukasa may even join Senku’s group and fight together in “Dr. Stone” season 2. The good thing is that before this “Stone War” begins, they are fully equipped and armed with weapons that they can use to avert any threat.
In any case, the most important thing in “Dr. Stone” season 2 is the petrification. It is interesting to see how Senku will find answers and eventually get everyone back by depetrifying them. He should have invented a tool to bring back the civilization this season.
Meanwhile, “Dr. Stone” season 2’s release date is not yet available. Based on Game Revolution’s opinion, this anime will arrive in July.
