A new installment of the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” has been a staple monthly fix for many manga fans around the world. However, there might be an unexpected delay with the release of “Boruto” chapter 45 due to coronavirus.
‘Boruto’ chapter 45 release date: Will there be a delay?
“Boruto” chapter 45 has been announced to be released on April 20. However, a recent announcement made by Shueisha also opened the possibility for a delay.
Shueisha confirmed that a member of its staff tested positive for coronavirus and its employees have been sent home to work remotely since April 6. As a result, many of its affiliate magazines have announced delays in upcoming issues in the remaining weeks of April. On the bright side, there are also signs this might not affect the schedule of “Boruto” chapter 45.
Here's final Shonen Jump schedule:

-Issue #20 will be out Sunday 12/Monday 13.
-Issue #21/22 will be out Sunday 26/Monday 27.
-Issue #23 will be out in May, Sunday 10/Monday 11.

However, it should be noted that “Boruto” chapter 45 and other installments of the series are being released through the VJump. And the publication has yet to announce if the magazine’s next issue is going to be affected by these recent developments.
The lack of announcement of a delay with just a week left before “Boruto” chapter 45’s release date is a good sign. It is also important to point out that, as of this writing, the websites and mobile apps of Manga Plus and Shonen Jump still indicate that chapter 45 will be out on April 20.
“Boruto” manga series usually takes a month break during the Golden Week, so that typically means no new chapter throughout May. It is then understandable if fans are curious about whether or not the schedule for “Boruto” chapter 45 would be changed.

“Boruto” chapter 45 should reveal Naruto and other Konoha leaders’ decision. Based on the recent events, Amado is more likely to get asylum in Konoha. After all, the amount of intel he can offer might be difficult to ignore since Konoha is practically up against an organization that remains mysterious to this day.
